I'm 25, and have been having a slight pain in my middle/left chest, but only when i inhale. i do have gerd, but tums (calcium carbonate) aren't working. what do i do?

Chest pain breathing: this can be anything from a pulled muscle to a blood clot in the lung, pneumonia, or even a collapsed lung. If this persists more than a day or worsens or is accompanied by other symptoms then you should get checked out by a physician.
