Pregnancy concern: There are 2 point i have to address here. First one some women have high blood pressure during pregnancy. It is controlled with medications and usually it goes away after delivery. Second point usually delivery is at 40 weeks. So if the delivery is delayed you should consult your gynecologist ASAP to see whats the problem for the delay

NO!: Normally, pregnant women tend to have LOWER than average blood pressure, so an elevated blood pressure is a cause for concern. Her B/P and urinary protein levels need close monitoring. She should let her OB know ASAP if she gets headaches or other unexplained symptoms. Also, b/c she's past her due date, baby's size & health of the baby & placenta need to be monitored.
