Opioids: Opioid medications should only be taken under the guidance of a physician - especially if being combined with a benzodiazepine. These potent medications have the penitential to cause respiratory depression and even death if taken in too high of a dose. Every patient responds differently to combinations of different medicines.

No: As long as both medications you are taking are prescribed for you and the doctor or doctors who wrote the prescriptions is/are aware that you are taking them together, taking them together is fine. Both have a tendency to make people sleepy, and taking the two together could have an added effect.
