Ovulation: ovulation usually occurs between 12 and 16 days before the next period. This is an average and it can occur a few days before and a few days after. The day of ovulation differs from woman to woman and from month to month. Though rare, ovulation can occur at any time during the cycle even during a period. Sperm lives in the body 3-5 days and it is possible to become pregnant even during period.
