I had a laparoscopic tubal ligation done.and have some vaginal bleeding. is it ok to use tampons? even the same day as surgery?

Check with your dr: It is not unusual to have bleeding after a tubal or any laparoscopic gynecology surgery. It is not recommended to use a tampon 2nd risk of infection. You are better off using pads. If bleeding becomes heavy greater than 1 maxi pad an hour, or associated with pain, fever, shortness of breath, light headedness.....then call doctor or go to ER ASAP
