Many have mis with normal cholest. treat chol is important, but what about ldl oxidation as well as calcification? no funding to study, but relevant?

Chol is only part of: Cholesterol is only part of the treatment plan of mi pts. CAD is complex with more than one cause. If cholesterol was the whole story than statins would have virtually cured the condition. Chol LDL is a significant risk marker and in high risk pts our goal should be around 75 or less. This has shown to reduce events and induce plaque regression. No study thus far has shown anti-oxidents effective.
