What could be the cause of fever like symptoms (chills, etc.) without an actual temperature (my temp is 98.6 right now)?

Still a fever first.: Interestingly, if you're checking your temperature when you have the chills or shakes, it might be normal as these symptoms mean your body is breaking the fever. Check your temperature when you're NOT feeling these symptoms and see if it's elevated.
