Hiatal hernia can: A hiatal hernia can contribute to esophageal regurgitation. This regurgitation of stomach acid can cause esophageal spasms. The esophageal spasm pain can manifest itself in different ways. So to answer your question it is possible. I would see your doctor to go over your medicine regimen again.

Pain bet. shoulders: suggests you could have radiation of gallstone pain or even pancreatitis. We have very little history to make a diagnosis. Therefore, please consult your primary care doc. I suggest an Ultrasound of the gallbladder, amylase, lipase levels and an H pylori breath test. Get well.
