Try this...: Often our bodies interpret harmless stimuli as a threat. This is a complicated process enforced by emotional memories controlled by areas of the brain called the amygdala and the hippocampus. Biofeedback--controlled breathing, calming thoughts, etc. can help override this. Try: quiet breathing, muscle relaxation, the smell of lavender. Tell your parents about any real threats at school.
