Watch protein: Kidney stones form because of multiple factors. It is important to know what your stones were made of in the past. Factors such as fluid intake, sodium intake, and protein intake can influence stone risk. Protein, if taken in too high a concentration, can actually result in kidney insufficiency and can certainly raise stone risks. As with everything, moderation is key. See a urologist.
