See remark: Prostatitis in general is ill understood ,it is diagnosed casually for vague symptoms related to prostate and lower bladder complaints. Yes, the irritation of prostate can cause what you are describing. At your age ,you should have NO problem urinating .Did a doctor diagnose you with prostatitis ? You can elaborate on your frequency,discomfort,night time voiding,did you have a culture of urine?
