Yeast infection: Typically, when there's itching it can be due to a yeast infection. Discharge that's brown is typically old menstrual blood. You can see a doctor or clinic and get an exam to test for yeast. If the brown discharge is bothering you, that is, if it's lasting for more than a few days, then you might want to consider some hormones to help regulate your cycle so that you don't have as much spotting.
