Laceration finger: Since you lacerated the finger 4 days ago there is nothing I would do at this time. Stitches would not be placed since it has been too long since the injury. If it begins to bleed again or becomes red a swollen I would go see a hand surgeon or plastic surgeon immediately. I would just keep a clean dressing over the wound and apply an antibiotic ointment like bacitracin twice daily over the cut.
