Nexplanon: First, you need to take a pregnancy test to make sure that you are not pregnant. Nexplanon is a very effective birth control however the bleeding profile is variable. Most women do not have regular, monthly cycles on nexplanon. The longer it is in place , the typical trend is for periods to space out. If your pain does not subside with use of ibuprofen within a couple of days, see your OBGYN.
