Metatarsalgia: Sounds like metatarsalgia. There are many reasons why people get metatarsalgia pain. Fat pad atrophy, hammertoes, improper shoes, lack of arch support, overuse, caves foot type, etc... are some of the more common reasons. Hopefully its transient. A little rest and some anti inflammatories should help. If it persists visit your podiatrist for a definitive diagnosis and treatment.
