Get it checked out: We always worry about a hole in a tooth. You are not going to know whether this needs treatment without a dentist's diagnosis.

Enamel pit: It is probably an enamel pit which is simply a defect in the formation of the outer layer of the tooth. The problem is that eventually it cane become a cavity.
