Know your cycle: The most important thing is understanding your menstrual cycle. Hopefully you have a regular, close to 28 day cycle...this is the easiest to predict. Most women ovulate 14 days after the first day of their bleeding menses. Have intercourse every other day between days 10 & 20; probably every day from days 12-16. You can learn about cevical mucus changes or use an ovulation predictor kit, too.

Plan for next month: Women usually ovulate at mid cycle about day 12-13 from the start of your period. This is when you are fertile and likely to get pregnant. You should have intercourse daily from about day 10 until about day 15. You can also buy ovulation kits to help you know when you are fertiIe. It can take several months (and even up to a year) to get pregnant, so don't get discouraged!
