Vein Surgery.: Vein ligation and stripping is a procedure rarely done any more because of the newer closure procedures. When the greater saphenous vein is stripped usually the tributary varicose veins are also removed through small incisions rather than actually stripping them.

Vein strip: Usually no need because the vein feeding is being removed However if you are planning treatment a thermal ablation is a better option
