Yes : According to WebMD, Gabapentin can infrequently cause UTI. According to Drugs.com, more common side effects are decreased urine output or dark coloration to the urine. See your doctor and discuss your options.

Unlikely: Neurontin (gabapentin) can decrease white blood cells and therefore decrease immunity but otherwise does not cause "infection" in the urinary tract or otherwise. If you have a difficult to treat bladder infection, I suggest you see a urologist for a cystoscopy.
