Swollen hand veins: are commonly seen after active exercise. When the body is warm and flushed, the blood vessels on the extremities and skin to help cool the body. Also, veins would be more prominent if blood flow back to the heart was impeded by constriction of the upper arm like a tourniquet or the arms were swinging back and forth. This could make the hands feel swollen and numb as well.
