Hives: could be a reaction to something you ate or a medicine you took, or most often no known reason, ? exposure to a virus, at any rate that would go away on its own, to control the sypmtoms OTC antihistaminic would be helpful as well as anti itch cream OTC too, please watch for any lip / lid swelling or shortness of breath, if that happens, please seek medical attention, good luck
