Check your diet: High sulfur foods like onions, garlic, leeks, kale, cabbage, Brussels sprouts and broccoli can increase the amount of sulfur in your body and generate that sour smell. Try reducing the amounts of these that you consume. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

Sulfur: Something's causing excess sulfur gas production. Can be from the foods you eat, a change in Meds (OTC and/or Rx), systemic disease (GERD, diabetes, etc), food impaction between teeth, cavities, gum disease, infected tonsils, sinusitis, and other problems. See both your General Physician and General Dentist for evaluations. May be more that one concurrent cause.
