Time will tell: I have not used Penicillin IM/IV forever. Last time I used was secondary syphillis. A lot of antibiotics come with side effects from mild GI side effects (common) to deadly interactions. Rarely it causes bone marrow suppression to hemolytic anemia. I am sure it was used for right reason. I think in your case, time will tell. Rest and plenty of fluids. Call your doctors office as needed.
