How long??: how long since you had it pierce if recent you might be allergic to the earing metal material in this case change to more pure silver or leave o thick thread in the piercing to prevent it from closing and apply topical antibiotic it it is old ,did you change the earing to a cheap material like copper or iron use a pure silver you could be forming a scar like keloid then you need a surgeon

Keloids/scars: are excessive scar tissue that forms around a wound. Keloids may occur after ear piercing, and are 80% more likely to occur if ears are pierced after age 11. Other risk factors for keloids include dark skin, previous keloid formation, and nickel containing earrings. You may need to see a Plastic Surgeon/skin specialist to evaluate.

Not enough info: Where on the ear is piercing? When was the piercing done? Any discharge, swelling, redness? One study showed complications in up to 35% of people w pierced ears. Problems can include infection, keloid, traumatic tearing and allergic reaction. High ear piercings through cartilage have ^ risk of infection & lack of healing because of minimal blood supply to auricular cartilage. Recommend med eval.
