Formula should be: stopped for 24 hrs at onset of diarrhea and baby should be switched to pedialyte only.The following day,dilute formula by 1/2-1/3,as tolerated.The next day advance to nl formula.If diarrhea persists,see pediatrician.Remember,to encourage as much pedialyte as possible.If baby stops urinating,this is a sign of significant dehydration,and U must have the baby seen immediately.Good luck
