Viral infection: likely a viral infection and if so the amoxil will not help. In fact it may make your stomach feel worse as antibiotics can cause stomach upset, nausea, and diarrhea. drink lots of clear liquids, take tylenol (acetaminophen) for the fever, drink tea with honey as well. see your doctor if not feeling better in a day or two
