Not neurologic: Your physician will evaluate you. This type of pain is not likely to be neurologic. A neurologist might help clarify the etiology - would note that 8 years helped with the menstral cycle suggests a conversion reaction but your physician needs to evaluate this possibility. I don't think the short left side is he reason
