My partner recently tested pos. for chlamydia. i took a 5 day zpak for a sinus infection after - will this clear out chlamydia if i have it as well?

Probably yes: The recommended azithromycin treatment for chlamydia is a single dose of 1 gram. The Zpak dose (500 mg on day one, 250 mg daily for the next 4 days) almost certainly would be effective, but it hasn't been studied, so can't be 100% certain. To be safe, talk with your doctor about having a chlamydia test in 3-4 weeks. Probably it will be negative, so no worries until then.
