Is effexor (venlafaxine) safe to take with chronic gastritis? how about nexium? i heard it ups the risk of developing stomach cancer.

Effexor (venlafaxine) is safe: Chronic gastritis from H.pylori is the only proven cause for increasing development of gastric (stomach) cancer. Other factors have not been proven to increase gastric cancer risk. Evidence based medicine currently allows continuation of nexium, effexor, (venlafaxine)... if clinically indicated ?(if you need it and it helps you) without increasing cancer risk.
