Many causes....: Could be vasidilation of the vessels caused by smoking. Also Raynauds disease or phenomenon which is reduced blood flow due to cold or emotional stress. There is often discoloration assocciated with this.

Possibly,: have thyroid checked, need to rule out Raynaud's phenomena. Consult with an endocrinologist and or rheumatologist.

Raynauds Phenomenon: You may have primary Raynaud's phenomenon not related to any disease. There is also secondary Raynauds caused by connective tissue disorders. It is hyperactivation of the sympathetic nervous system causing extreme vasoconstriction of the peripheral blood vessels. Can be treated by keeping warm, avoid smoking, avoid, stress, vibration. Review with your doctor.
