You could be: pregnant if you had unprotected sex. Wait about 10 days, if you still have not had a period, do a pregnancy test to find out for sure. In the meantime, because you could be pregnant you should be taking Folic acid. Folic acid is an important ingredient in Prenatal Vitamins. Getting adequate folic acid, at least 1 mg (1000 mcg) each day before and during pregnancy helps prevent birth defects.
