Yes: There are many triggers for asthma and for some people cold exposure is one of them. If your asthma is well controlled then there should be no issue going out into the cold, especially if you don't have a choice. If you know cold exposure is an issue for you, bundle up and cover your mouth with a scarf while you are outside. Use your rescue inhaler promptly if symptoms develop.

Yes: I agree with another doctor saying that covering your mouth with a mask may be helpful. If you know that cold air exposure usually triggers asthma, use your bronchodilator prior to the exposure will likely prevent an attack.
