If i use proventil (albuterol) and don't really need it can it hurt me? the doc said take it 4 times a day. didn't want to take it if it would cause something.

Proventil (albuterol): No long term effects---if you are only using it for a viral Bronchiolitis you will only have to use it for 2-3 weeks If you are using it for asthma---take it as directed-----to help prevent a serious asthma attack . If you smoke---STOP that is more likely to cause you long term respiratory problems----discuss your concerns with your physician
