"Can" vs Likelihood: As president Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, in 1933 about 80 years ago, "... let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself..." Medicine, like everyday life, is full of uncertainties because even the rarest events "can" happen. The real question is, how "likely" is something to happen?
