Normal : Believe it or not, this is a sign of intelligence, that he knows the difference in grammar and chooses third person. I think this is a phase that you should go along with, as long as it doesn't interfere with his daily routine or get him in trouble at school. You may want to talk to his teachers and find out if it is going on a school also, but don't worry, this too will pass, by itself.
