It depends: It depends if you have had unprotected sexual intercourse or you have not been using some form of effective birth control (IUD, Pill, etc). If you have not been protected during sexual intercourse then yes you can become pregnant after 1 day of ovulation (egg release). But if you have not been sexually active, or used protection (condom or pill) then, no increased saliva is not a sign of pregnancy

No: Even if the egg were fertilized, it is too soon for that embryo to have an effect on your physiology. If you miss your period by 5-6 days, do a pregnancy test, use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
