I have recently found a large indentation in the back of my skull, which is about 3 inches long and about 2 inches deep. i'm concerned what it may be?

Realize : It would be very unlikely to develop a defect of that size in your calvaria without a trauma or a very serious erosive cranial process going on. Are you sure it's not just your normal skull surface topography? Otherwise consider having it examined in person.
