Usually scar tissue: If it is on the inside of the cheek it is usually a little fibrous (scar) tissue from an injury such as biting your cheek. It can also be a mucocele (a blocked mucous duct) that hardened. Neither are dangerous. If it on the gums above the teeth, it can be a torus (bony lump) that forms. Also not dangerous. Usually if these aren't a bother, they are not removed.

Exostoses: It is most likely an exostoses, excess of normal bone. They may slowly enlarge over time. Long term concerns are that as they expand, the soft tissue over them gets stretched tight and is easy to cut that stretched skin with a nut, seed, hard crust of bread... If you were to loose all of your teeth it may be difficult to wear a denture that rubs that spot, in which case it may need to be removed

Hard lump: May be boney exostosis (benign growth). But may also bo one of dozens of other problems. Cannot tell without examination/imaging. Please see a Dentist to make sure that this is nothing of concern.
