Please tell me how swallow study is done and what can it diagnose? how much radiation do you get from this procedure?

Swallow study.: You are given a contrast agent and various textured materials to swallow. Brief pictures are taken with low dose radiation to define the swallowing process. Minimal radiation is limited to the area of study.
