Hard to say: A medicine like propranolol typically should be taken on a regular schedule. Propranolol is a beta blocker, and when the beta blocker wears off, your heart rate can bounce back up. So one thing to try would be to be on a more regular schedule with the propranolol; of course, it's hard for me to say exactly since I'm not sure precisely what you are taking it for.
