Stress: Stress of any kind - situational stress, illness, increased exertion / exercise can cause slight abnormalities in your period. If this is isolated - just this month - then you don't have to worry. Keep a calendar and if these irregularities continue to occur over the next 2-3 months, see your GYN. If you have fever, abnormal discharge or pelvic pain, see the GYN sooner.
