Cause unknown: The cause of fibromyalgia is unknown even though one doctor on his forum misinforms people by telling them it is due to loose-jointedness. It is a neurologic disorder in which there is an exaggerated response to pain.

Multifactorial: Fibromyalgia multifactorial; sufferers incur via variety of insults. Female-inherited hypermobility begets pelvic injury; especially w. childbirths. Injured male joints cause sedentariness, disuse & deconditioning. In both sexes prolonged inactivity begets soft tissue atrophy & spasm, & ischemic tender points. Chronic pain begets non-restorative sleep then depression, daytime fatigue & fibro-fog.
