Yes & No: If they are taking HAART meds and in an undetectable status, the HIV might not show up on a standard HIV test. To date, only 1 person has been fully cured of HIV and that was by accident - he had to have a bone marrow transplant for cancer treatment and afterwards he no longer had HIV. Efforts to repeat this have so far not been successful. For now, once you are HIV+ you stay that way.
