Confusing information regarding ct scans. how dangerous are they? i probably have had 15-20 ct head lifetime, not sure. cancer risk high????

Depends age & parts: on the body parts imaged - for head CTs, the brain is pretty durable, and if you've needed serial brain CTs probably for good reason for a chest CT to eval for lung clots - this increases lifetime risk of cancer in 65 yo guy by 1:3100, for 30 yo gal by 1:128; a prolonged xray study on a child gives them a 1:3 chance of leukemia in their lifetime. So depends on age, body parts & type of study.
