Previous eruption: You indicate a prior history of herpes, could this be from a previous eruption/scar? You may want to try topical Zovirax (acyclovir). However I suspect it is some thing else that may be inflammatory. Topical hydrocortisone cream may help if it is not herpes. If it doesn't improve in 7-10 days or worsens, please see your doctor
