Breakthrough bleed: Its not really two periods. When you skip your pill your hormone level changes acutely and this causes breakthrough bleeding. The lower the pill dose the more likely this happens with skipped doses. Skipping doses may also result in pregnancy, so I would advise a condom or abstaining.
