No cure: There is immunization for HPV, but no cure - yet. In most individuals, the body's immune system seems to neutralize the virus over an up to 2 year time period. HPV infections don't cause symptoms, unless an individuals' body is unable to fight the virus and decade down the road ends up with cancer of the cervix or the throat. A swab from the throat is technically possible.

See Below: There are over 140 different types of HPV virus. Most of them can affect both the throat and the genital area. Most don't cause symptoms. A few types will cause warts. Your immune system will most-likely fight off the virus and get rid of it in a few years. Best wishes!
