Many possibilities: Many things can cause this including some methods of contraception and other medicines, diseases such as thyroid disease, diabetes/insulin resistance, PCOS, adrenal problems, pituitary tumors, etc.,stress, infections, or abnormal cells on the cervix. The only way to know for sure is to be seen for a full history, exam, and testing. Hope this helps.
