A member asked:

Stage 1 myoepithelial carcinoma. should an individual get radiation if it is only stage 1/low grade?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: In a study of 33 cases of benign or low-grade cytology 6 recurred locally and none metastasized. No clinical or histologic features correlated with recurrence. Among 31 cytologically malignant cases 13 recurred locally and 10 metastasized Pathology and not stage should define need for local RT which probably needed for most Stage 1 lesions.
