Amitriptyline: Amitriptyline doesn't have direct effect on CHF. It can exacerbate conduction problems (heart rhythm problems) if they already exist. Amitriptyline should also be used with extreme caution in patients with a history of previous MI (heart attack), stroke, and a history of fast heart rate (tachycardia). Discuss with your cardiologist to better know your risk factors. Be safe.
